Canva is a free graphic-design tool website. It uses a drag-and-drop format and provides access to over a million photographs, graphics, and fonts. It easy enough to be used by non-designers but is feature-rich for professionals as well.
Adobe Stock
Adobe Stock has a superior reputation, compared to other stock photo programs, on providing photos and videos that will not face copyright violations across various platforms (Warning: You are not safe from copyright violations even if you purchase from a notable brand). Psychologically, your audience will be drawn to photos they haven’t seen before, meaning, free photos are likely to not only be overused but also ignored. We recommend Adobe Stock for these reasons and more.
Adobe Creative Cloud
We’re Adobe power users at SSM. If you are too, the Adobe Creative Cloud might be well worth the investment. Whether you need to hyperlink a PDF, edit an image in Photoshop, or add a soundtrack to some video, you can access any of the Adobe software with one subscription. It’s particularly difficult to find quality video editing software; Adobe’s After Effects program is our go-to.
